Why Choose Harmony Home Inspection?
All inspections are done by certified ASHI, MA licensed home inspector Paul Rogoshewski. owner of Harmony Home Inspection of Massachusetts. Paul usually takes between 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours to do an inspection and performs never more than two inspections a day and that only with careful attention to scheduling. This assures that you will get the necessary time required to perform the most thorough home inspection possible. When interviewing a home inspector, make sure to ask how long he takes and how many inspections he does in a day. Paul uses an assortment of professional tools and instruments to conduct home inspections. These typically include a 28 ft extension ladder, 12 foot telescoping ladder, 6 ft folding ladder, high quality 8.5 x 42 binoculars, pest inspection probes, a moisture meter, a combustible gas detector, an assortment of mirrors, a water pressure gauge, five different electrical testers, infrared and digital thermometers, an assortment of screwdrivers, wrenches, and flashlights. For private well testing, a water meter, flow, and pressure gauge are used. When interviewing a home inspector, be sure to ask what tools they use to conduct the home inspection. Paul is a full member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), the most respected home inspector organization in the Country. ASHI members are required to pass the most difficult testing in the Industry, have conducted a minimum of 250 home inspections, and are required to attend continuing educational courses. Additionally, as a member of ASHI New England, the local chapter, Paul has access to the latest developments in the field, and is affiliated with the best home inspectors in the New England Region. The extra effort put forth by an ASHI New England member means that you are getting the best inspection possible! When interviewing a home inspector, be sure to ask what professional affiliations they possess. Be careful about some home inspectors mimicking credentials they have been unable to obtain. Performing a home inspection to ASHI standards is not the same as being an ASHI certified home inspector. Because
of the very recent licensing laws and grandfathering clause, all home
inspectors practicing in Massachusetts should be licensed. However, this
doesn't mean that they are all equally educated. Paul has logged dozens
of hours of educational credits, many attained before the
State even required continuing education. Paul sits on the Educational
Committee of ASHI New England and is also a very active member of the
Board of Directors of ASHI New England. Paul is also a member of the Independent
Home Inspectors of North America, a organization of home inspectors who
maintain a professional pledge to represent the Buyer and not the real
estate agent. A complete description of experience and education can be
found earlier in this web site.
